We walked more, when it wasn't necessary,

here and there, just to be out and about.  

We meandered down our usual routes and chose new paths.

We felt the sun and wind and rain on our faces,

and stopped to enjoy simple things like a bird chorus or a sunset over the water.

We met other people who were out and about.

I began to think about going to new places with my buddy.

We traveled to hike in mountains and play in snow!

"follow the dog" is my happy reminder to get up, out, adventure in nature, 

and see something new every day with my buddy.  

Whether we go around the block or around a mountain, 

Stanley knows when he puts on his red bandana that fun is sure to follow.  

Our world has grown since the words came many years ago, 

and we're so much better for it!
